Empyrean Bay Rum Splash (Ultima)
Truth be told, I was never a big fan of traditional bay rum scents.  I wanted to create a Bay Rum composition which is not typical  and without cinnamon or clove oils which can cause adverse effects and irritation. I’m using real Bay Leaf and rum. In place of cinnamon & cloves, I’m using real tonka, real Coumarin for warmth and added complexity. I’m also using Clementine essential oil and orange blossom. In addition, I have added a hint of Apple & Pomegranate notes. Finally I added a whisper of geranium essential oil and a powder note which I think turned this into a beautiful scent people who don’t normally gravitate towards traditional bay rums will love.Â
Notes: Clementine, orange blossom, green apple, pomegranate, rum, geranium, powder, tonka bean, coumarin, bay leaf, cedar
Ingredients: Aloe Vera Juice, Â SD 40B Alcohol, Rose Hydrosol, Vegetable Glycerin, Emu Oil, Calendula Extract , Red Clover Extract, Chamomile, Plantain Leaves, White Willow Bark, Vitamin E, Hyaluronic Acid, Â Caprylic Triglycerides ( combination of plant sugars and fatty acids derived from palm and coconut oils for silkier feel and as a natural preservative).
🤩
Love the feel, very soothing, but does not remotely smell of bay or rum. Interested to try their other scents.
What a cool modification of a bay rum. Love the combo with the citrus/blossom notes!
I slapped this on after a shave and instantly heard thunder crack. Somewhere, a kraken stirred.
This isnt your grandpas bay rumunless your grandpa was a fire-slinging sea warlock with a six-pack of abs and a vendetta against mediocre aftershaves. Warm spice, dark citrus, and a flick of infernal rum. It hits sharp for a second, then smooths out like a sea breeze through scorched cedar.
My face felt incredible. My ego? Unjustifiably massive.
I didnt apply this splash. I ascended.
Would recommend for:

Looking great while doing morally questionable things in linen shirts.
