Emerald Moss Shaving Soap

$18.95 USD $19.95 USD

Emerald Moss was inspired by my old Irisch Moos Shaving Cream. Sir Irisch Moos was a fougere masterpiece created by Mauer & Wirtz in Germany. It offered a somewhat green, very aromatic & fresh fragrance with citrus at the top, along with a wonderful soapy facet to the scent. It was so unique and ruggedly masculine. there really was nothing similar to my knowledge like this. I have used the cream sparingly over the years, because it’s virtually impossible at this point to get. Several years ago, prior to making my own soaps, I had an artisan try to recreate this for me. It was not so close, however, it was still wonderful. My goal was to try my hand at creating a scent which would get as close as possible to the original. I think we hit it out of the park with Emerald Moss. I’m so pleased with this scent, I’m not wasting any time and introducing the matching fragrance in Extrait strength. This was created in-house and absolutely not a pre-blended fragrance or duplication.

Emerald Moss: If Irish Spring Finally Hit the Gym

Listen up, kids, MULLYs got a review for you. I got a little sample of Ariana & Evans Emerald Moss and I wasnt expecting much. I figured itd be nice. Pleasant. One of those green scents that shows up, does its job, then politely leaves the room.

Nope. This stuff walked in, kicked the door off the hinges, slapped Irish Spring in the face, and said This is how we do it now.

Its fresh. Its green. Its clean as all get out. But theres also depth. Theres swagger. Its masculine without being punchy and classy without trying too hard. Its got that old-school vibe but with new-school muscle. Like your granddads aftershave just bench pressed a tractor.

And get this. Its not some Green Irish Tweed clone. Nope. Peter C. himself said it was inspired by Irisch Moos, that legendary German shave cream that smells like a pine forest put on cologne and rode a motorcycle through a soap factory. And yeah, you can feel that. Its got that bold green mossy backbone, but its been polished up for the modern shaver.

Lather is rich and silky. Hydration for days. You could blindfold yourself, load your brush by feel, and still end up with the kind of luxurious lather that makes angels weep. Glide and cushion? Smooth as a politician during election season.

Post-shave feel? My face felt like it had been massaged by tiny leprechauns using eucalyptus oil and good intentions.

This is the soap Irish Spring wishes it was. This is the green scent for folks who want fresh but grown up. Clean but commanding. Youll smell like you just walked out of a mossy castle wearing a three-piece suit and holding a double espresso.

If you get a sample, just know youre gonna want the full tub. Dont fight it. Just lean into the mossy goodness and thank Peter later.

A citrus-forward fougere

I had a nice shave with this one this morning! To my nose, it is a citrus-forward fougere or barbershop type scent, with the florals and herbal qualities subdued (though still present) and little to no powder. A definite soapy aspect comes through, which, combined with the green notes makes it feel very fresh and clean. Of all A&E's bases, the K2E takes the most work for me to create a nice lather, though we're really just talking a few more seconds here, nothing major. (And when it's ready it's rich and lovely.) The performance, on my skin, is excellent.

Journey to the Emerald Forest

A fresh, green scent thats reminiscent of a dewy forest. The lather is thick and protective, allowing for a comfortable, irritation-free shave. My skin feels refreshed and soft after each use. A perfect choice for those who love earthy, natural fragrances!

Classic!

Emerald Moss is such a great homage to Sir Irish Moos. It's a wonderful classic scent that is masculine.....bright and slightly powdery and is a staple that should be in any den for someone that like classic scents!
