Empyrean Bay Rum Shaving Soap (Ultima)
Truth be told, I was never a big fan of traditional bay rum scents. I wanted to create a Bay Rum composition which is not typical and without cinnamon or clove oils which can cause adverse effects and irritation. I’m using real Bay Leaf and rum. In place of cinnamon & cloves, I’m using real tonka, real Coumarin for warmth and added complexity. I’m also using Clementine essential oil and orange blossom. In addition, I have added a hint of Apple & Pomegranate notes. Finally I added a whisper of geranium essential oil and a powder note which I think turned this into a beautiful scent people who don’t normally gravitate towards traditional bay rums will love.

Not a classic bay rum scent but its got it very strong in its dna. The twist is just great and nothing I would have expected or seen in the market. As with all of A&E soaps the performance is top of its class.

Ive sailed across every scented sea there isfrom the Spice Routes o' the Old World to the Citrus Isles of the Newand Ive had a cargo hold of Bay Rums.
But then came Empyrion. And by Davy Jones beard, it changed everything.
This be no ordinary Bay Rumnay! This be a scent forged in the heavens and bottled by angels with sailor tattoos. From the first whiff, clementine and orange blossom hit me like a tropical breeze through a broken portholesweet, light, and cheeky as a tavern lass in Havana.
Then came the green apple and pomegranate, crisp and juicy like forbidden fruit stolen from Neptunes own galley. I could smell trouble. The good kind.
And thenoh, thenthe rum. Not the kind ye drink to forget an ex-wife in Port Royal, but the kind ye dab behind yer ears before a duel. Warm, real, and smoother than my last escape from the Royal Navy.
But Empyrion dont stop there. It adds tonka bean and coumarin for that warm, golden glow, geranium to whisper of lands far and fragrant, and just a dusting of powder, like a powdered wig on a swashbuckler who knows his manners but aint afraid to throw hands.
At the base? Bay leaf and cedar, steady as a captains hand in rough seas. Not loud. Not brash. Just confident. Like a man whos fought krakens and come away with better skin.
This soap give you the blessings of the sea. Its the Bay Rum for pirates with class and classless men who dream of being pirates.
So take it from me, Captain Silky dome, the smoothest-faced raider ever to wield a cutlass and a shaving brushthis soap be a treasure, and if ye dont claim it, ye deserve to walk the plank unshaved.
I really like this, but it's not a typical Bay Rum scent
Makes a fantastic lather, the bay rum smell while different from other bay rums smells amazing still. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for their next soap. Keep up the amazing work on the soaps you make!
This bay rum has definitely set a new standard in the bay rum world! its a very beautiful blend of citrusy orange and orange blossom with a perfect amount of powdery woodiness! A&E always finds a way to create something new!
