A league above everything else!

I can probably count on one hand the number of times that I have found a product that is a whole tier above everything else. Whether that is an ice cream flavor or type of burger I like, or even a type of beer, but I cannot recall many. However, every now and then a product comes along that just blows everything else out of the water. Sure the other five shave soaps that I got in the trial pack from Maggards all did smell nice, but Vanille de Tabac? Vanille de Tabac doesn't smell 'nice'! It invites you in with the warmest sense of gentle spice that wraps you up in gentle confort, of delicious hints of rich tobacco leaf as if smelled from a warm dimly lit room by the fire, and wonderful memories of vanilla spice from your mother's kitchen when you were a child. The whole experience feels the same as the end of Ratatouille when Anton Ego is blown away by the ratatouille that evokes powerful memories of his childhood before snapping back to reality. Yes you can shop for anything else if you simply want 'nice', but Vanille de Tabac will bring your senses to a whole new league in something that is wholly unfair to its competition!

Welcome to the finer things

Welcome to the finer things in life: mahogany desk, Cuban cigar, a tumbler of 18-year scotch, and Vanille de Tabac lathered generously on your cheeks. The scent opens with warm vanilla, but quickly unfolds into a velvety swirl of cured tobacco and quiet authority. It doesnt shoutit speaks with a deep, resonant baritone and impeccable posture. Ultima base? Smooth like silk pajamas on a leather sofa. For the gentleman who knows his worth... and shaves accordingly.

This is a fascinating...

This is a fascinating scent. While I've never smelled the Tom Ford that it's based off, I do have a cologne that's based on Ford's Tobacco Vanile and it's very vanilla in scent. This A&E scent is much more tobacco with a nice blend of spices, chocolate and vanilla. The tobacco is not the same as Tobacco Road. Toned down sweetness and I'm glad the chocolate scent takes a back seat to the others but is still detectable. This is a dark, subtle and sexy scent and will probably be one my next A&E purchase. (I have a sample from Maggard's.)
