Watermelon Cachaca Shaving Cream

Watermelon Cachaça was inspired by a wonderful tropical drink I discovered in Brazil. Fresh watermelon, lime, sugar and cachaça come together to make an incredibly refreshing cocktail, especially on a hot day.

For the fragrance, I wanted to capture that same feeling. Juicy watermelon and mango are brightened with bergamot, lime and litsea, followed by a splash of rum and the warm sweetness of brown sugar. Guaiacwood, tolu balsam and cedarwood add just enough depth to keep the fragrance from becoming overly sweet.

The result is juicy, tropical, refreshing and a lot of fun. If you've ever spent time in Brazil, this one might bring back some memories. If you haven't, consider it a little taste of Brazil.

Ingredients:

1 cup cubed watermelon
½ lime, cut into wedges
2 tablespoons sugar
2 shots cachaça
Crushed ice

Directions:

Blend the watermelon until pureed. Add the lime wedges and sugar to a cocktail shaker and muddle well. Add the watermelon puree, cachaça and crushed ice, then shake well.

Pour into a chilled glass, garnish with lime and enjoy.
