We sampled nearly everything in stock and though they were all great, here’s what stood out as our favorites. We already own and are obsessed with Pistachio Silk and Birthday suit.
1. Latte e Mente. We’re def getting a full size of this. The shave soap was already one our all-time favs so we knew what we were getting into. We were afraid the EDP might be too masculine for us on the dry down, but it’s just perfect. And the men in our lives were surprised by how much they the loved milk and mint (it smelled great on them too). Beautifully unisex. This will be great year round, but I think this will be especially wonderful in summer or warmer weather.
2. Lavender Noir. Oh my god. Another gloriously unisex scent that was great for us and the guys as well. It’s honestly the best lavender scent we have EVER tried. The lavender is bright and shines through and doesn’t fade throughout the day, but the noir is also the costar, not an afterthought. It’s just so balanced. The addition of the oud is perfectly done (we’re huge oud fans and adored the Ouddiction as well). It’s light and dark and everything in between all at once. The longevity and projection is off the charts here. Total year round and summer night scent.
3. Choco cubano. Holy chocolate and tobacco gourmand bomb. It pulls it off without being too sweet or cloying. Think super high end dark chocolate and the finest cigars instead of Hershey’s and a black and mild. It exudes pure sexiness and begs for intimacy. It’s become our favorite “bedtime” scent.
4. Chiang Mai. Definitely will be getting a bottle for summertime. The citrusy pop of lemongrass and lime and yuzu up top is delightful… jasmine and pink pepper lend some floral maturity… galangal and vetiver keep us grounded… all tied together with creamy coconut and the faintest hint of resinous, vanilla-y benzoin. It’s just so unique and pretty and playful. We were kind of afraid of smelling TOO much like a Thai dish, but one spray totally changed that. It just works.
