Tobacco Road Shaving Soap - Ultima 2

Tobacco Road is warm, inviting, masculine and complex—the kind of scent you’ll enjoy catching on yourself throughout the day and well into the evening.

At the heart of the fragrance is real tobacco absolute, giving the tobacco a rich, nuanced warmth with a natural touch of sweetness. I paired it with a beautiful honey note that I previously used when creating Ouddiction, along with bay leaf, a touch of smoke and a deep amber base.

For the first time, I’m also using Hinoki, or Japanese Cypress. Hinoki has a dry, woody character with subtle herbal and slightly lemony undertones. It’s very understated here, but adds another layer of complexity to the composition.

Tobacco Road also marks the debut of Ultima 2, our latest shaving soap formulation. It’s incredibly rich and luxurious, yet I find it easier to lather and less water-hungry than the previous formulation. Most importantly, I believe Ultima 2 sets a new standard for post-shave feel.
