OUR STORY - THE AMERICAN DREAM
We are a small, family-owned business based in Ansonia, Connecticut. Like many family-run ventures, we began at home making soaps in our small kitchen.
As a wet shaving hobbyist, I knew exactly what kind of soaps I liked and set out to create something worthy of consideration. What began as a side project to help supplement our income and support our daughter’s education quickly gained unexpected momentum.
Then COVID hit.
At 57, after losing my job of 17 years, I found myself without work and with few options—nobody was hiring. We made a difficult but clear decision: to go all in on the business. This would be our full-time livelihood.
At the time, I had been developing a new shaving soap base called Kaizen—a Japanese word meaning continuous improvement. Just three weeks after being laid off, we released Kaizen with little more than hope and a prayer. That release changed our lives.
Today, we’ve grown far beyond our kitchen. We operate in the heart of Ansonia, in a dedicated facility that reflects how far we’ve come—and how much farther we plan to go. Our journey is proof that when one door closes, another opens if you’re willing to walk through it.
Beyond shaving products, Ariana & Evans has grown into a serious presence in the niche fragrance market. Our fragrances are more than just scents, they are personal stories, inspired by life experiences and travels around the world. Each fragrance is crafted in-house, reflecting a journey of discovery, culture, and passion.
Leading this creative evolution is my daughter, Thalia, whose talent and vision continue to push our fragrance line forward. Together, as a family, we create bold, original compositions that honor our roots while embracing the wider world.

MEET THE FAMILY BEHIND A&E
Thalia Ariana graduated with honors at University of New Haven. She has joined us in running the family business and has left an indelible mark in such a short period of time. She overseas all projects and ensures they fit within our brand identity. Additionally, she is now responsible for creating and growing our fragrance sector.
Evelyn does it all. However, her main role is running the shipping department, managing inventory, as well as special projects such as our very successful events at our showroom. She also (along with Thalia) keeps Peter in line.
Peter was initially a wetshaving hobbyist like most of you. He began experimenting with developing his own shaving soaps in house, and eventually began to sell them. He's our head soap maker, customer service representative, and never-ending idea guy. you can thank adhd for that.

Hands down the best Tobacco fragrance out there. Tried several, even super 'high end' and both my wife and I find this to beat them all. Tobacco forward, a little sweet. Long lasting. Shave soap and splash are excellent as well.
Ive always been loyal to just a few select fragrancespartly because Im not easily impressed, and partly because my husband suffers from migraines and has a very low tolerance for strong scents. If you're looking for the best artisan soap company you've arrived. The Ultima formula is super slick and chasing the dragon has such a unique smell that everyone will let you know it smells wonderful. I got comments all throughout the night using the shaving cream and the aftershave. 10 out of 10.
Latte e Menta is nothing short of magic. It has the ability to elevate any razor and blade pairing into a luxurious, irritation-free experience. The cushion, residual slickness, and texture are quintessential Ariana & Evanssecond to none in performance. And the scent? Absolutely extraordinary. Creamy, minty, refreshing, and endlessly enjoyable. If you havent tried this soap, you are truly missing out.
obsesssedddd. birthday suit is the epitome of a cool girl perfume. every note is done so perfectly, i wish everything i owned was birthday suit scented. i've been layering it with jhag not a perfume superdose and it smells heavenlyyy. 100% my signature scent now.
Awesome scent amazing performance
A perfectly androgynous scent. It starts off as a salty whiskey scent then settles into smoky milky coffee scent with sandalwood.
Matcha Tea has become my absolute favorite tea fragrance. This is divine. Kudos to Thalia for her creativity.

The best lavender forward fragrance on the planet. This is so different than i expected. I knew it was great, because of the shave soap and aftershave splash. They really amped it up and the complexity truly shines. The backend is magical

this ones got a perfect mix of barbershop with a hint of oud! in my opinion its the perfect amount of oud. this one is fantastic.
